“I’ve always wanted to do a real adventure, this was my opportunity to do that”-
This mini doc was made for one of my journalism classes at CSU. I wanted to take the audience on a portion of my journey and add a little insight into why I decided to solo camp for 25 days.

"The Lone Mustang"

A fog was rolling in that morning making everything look like a movie scene.

One of the most heart warming moments I witnessed during my trip was this mother caring for her babies.

"Hey, it's you again!?" Click on this image to see my photo series "The Rut" which has photos of the same ram from a few years back. Judging by its face I'm guessing we were thinking the same thing.

This moose I dubbed the name "White Tip" and was fortunate enough to see him 3 different times while camping.

When I first met White Tip he was grazing in a puddle.

I stayed with him for around 2 hours as he peacefully ate his dinner.

Before this day I had never seen a moose eat underwater. It was a really cool experience.

I actually fell asleep while trying to take some astrophotography the night I took this of my campsite.

I had brought along the same tent my father used when he went backpacking in Colorado and used it on the nights it was too warm.

This is "El Taco", my 2019 Toyota Tacoma that I converted into a camper set up so I could embark on this adventure.

Christmas lights and campfires were how I had most of my light once the sun went down.

"A Sunset After A Storm"

This was my view/backyard for a good portion of my trip. I mean how could you get sick waking up to that every day.

"White Tip Wondering"

I like to shoot both B&W Digital as well as film. There's something about having to actually load the film and manually adjust the settings that makes me feel more intune with the camera.

A B&W of White Tip resting

This was another favorite campsite of mine. I took this photo just as I returned from getting some once in a lifetime footage of some Moose.

As a rain was coming in I spotted this guy following me out of the forest.

An average looking morning as I let El Taco defog.

I remember keeping my back window open all night and waking up to this view with the smell of morning dew overpowering the valley.

One of White Tip's friends wanted to see what I was cooking for breakfast that morning.

I guess they decided it wasn't better than the bushes.

Another morning view I would have as I peeked my head out the back of my truck.

I never came up with a name for this guy but I ran across him a few times while I was out exploring.

By far one of my favorite spots during my trip. A wide open valley with rolling clouds.

"Solitude Valley"

One of the final moose I photographed before my trip ended. He looked at me as if he knew I was saying goodbye.
